First meeting to discuss modeling enhanced metadata: https://3.basecamp.com/3615344/buckets/2109790/documents/956373595

The enhanced metadata that will be incorporated into the Duke Chapel Recordings digital collection is on the "Sermons" tab of this google spreadsheet. This content is being actively worked on by research assistants hired and managed by the Divinity School. Records that have a value of "Completed" in the Status column can be considered complete; however, we will work out a time for formal hand-off of the metadata to be ingested at a later date with the Chapel team.

These fields from the spreadsheet will be incorporated into the existing DDR DC metadata application profile as follows:

Note: values from the separate readings/chapter & verse columns will also be stored as a separate value in the Description field, prepended with the appropriate column headers. Using the example from above, the constructed Description value would look like:

  • Gospel Reading: John 2:17-26a; 1st Reading: Ecclesiastes 3:19-4:3; 2nd Reading: Romans 8:14-18, 28, 31, 35, 37-39
