As of January 1, 2017, all Faculty are entitled to deposit Research data into the Duke Digital Repository up to 2.5GB for unsponsored projects or 10GB for sponsored projects for preservation. Additional preservation-level storage can be provided at the cost of:
- $0.515/GB per year billed annually
- $2.58/GB one time for five (5) years of preservation
- $3.61/GB one time for seven (7) years of preservation
- $12.88/GB one time for perpetual preservation
These costs will be updated annually to reflect any changes in costs and can be used for project and grant budgets. These costs reflect the direct cost of storage only. The Libraries cannot charge for administrative overhead or indirect costs.
